The Center for Gender Equality and History (KIIF) is a Cyprus-based non-governmental organization committed to promoting gender equality, women's rights, and the documentation of women's history. Established in Nicosia by Thekla Kyritsi, KIIF serves as a research and education hub that works to challenge gender stereotypes, empower women, and raise public awareness about gender issues. Through its innovative programs and projects, KIIF combines historical research with community activism, focusing particularly on bringing to light the underrepresented stories of women in Cypriot history. One of its key initiatives, CLiO for Gender, is an online archive that collects and showcases women's contributions to the island’s political, social, and cultural life. KIIF also engages in youth education by developing interactive tools and workshops that aim to encourage young people—especially boys—to question traditional gender roles and embrace gender equality. The organization actively participates in peace-building and reconciliation efforts by highlighting the role of women in conflict resolution and promoting inclusive narratives through projects like HERstory for Peace.

Operating both locally and internationally, KIIF collaborates with civil society organizations, educators, and policy makers to foster a more equal and just society, while continuously advocating for the integration of gender perspectives in education, culture, and public life.
