Center for Sustainable Peace and Democratic Development (SeeD) is a leading non-governmental organization founded in 2010 by a group of peacebuilding and development experts. Based in Nicosia, Cyprus, SeeD focuses on promoting sustainable peace, democratic development, and effective conflict resolution in conflict-affected regions worldwide, with a special emphasis on Cyprus.
The organization’s work is rooted in the belief that peace and democracy are not merely the absence of conflict but require active efforts to build understanding, cooperation, and long-lasting structures for social cohesion. Through its innovative programs, SeeD uses evidence-based approaches, including conflict analysis, social cohesion initiatives, and dialogue facilitation, to address the underlying causes of conflict and create conditions for sustainable peace.
Led by a Board of Directors, SeeD works with international partners, governmental bodies, and local communities to promote peacebuilding, governance, and democratic development. The organization’s staff consists of experts in the fields of peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and democracy, who work collaboratively to design and implement impactful solutions for conflict transformation.
Through its efforts, SeeD aims to foster a peaceful, democratic society where social justice and mutual respect are at the heart of conflict resolution and development.
